Artemis Building Co. (“Artemis,” “we,” “us”) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our commitment & standards

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user friendly for everyone.

What we’re doing

  • Semantic structure: Proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and labels.
  • Keyboard access: All interactive elements are intended to be usable without a mouse.
  • Color & contrast: Text and UI components target Level AA contrast.
  • Images & media: Informational images include alternative text; decorative images are marked to be ignored by assistive tech.
  • Forms: Fields have programmatic labels, clear instructions, and error messaging.
  • Focus visibility: Clear focus states for interactive components.
  • Responsive design: Pages reflow for different screen sizes and text zoom (up to 200%).
  • Testing: Periodic checks using manual keyboard testing and screen-reader spot checks (e.g., VoiceOver/NVDA), plus automated audits for common issues.

Compatibility & technical specs

The site relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript and is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and assistive technologies on desktop and mobile. Some older browsers or very restrictive settings may impact functionality.

Third-party content

Some features (e.g., map embeds, video hosts, scheduling or contact tools) may be provided by third parties. We cannot control their accessibility but select vendors that state support for accessibility and raise issues with them when identified. If any third-party tool creates a barrier, contact us and we’ll offer an alternative.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, users may encounter issues such as:

  • Occasional missing alternative text on newly added media
  • Inconsistent focus order in rare custom components
  • Legacy PDFs not fully tagged for accessibility
